Here, on my personal blog, I’ll take you on a journey into the realm of software development (SD) and artificial intelligence (AI). My deep-rooted passion for computers, coding, and the evolving landscape of AI, as a mathematical and interdisciplinary branch, has captivated me since the early days of my educational pursuits.
Academical Roots
Let’s embark on a time-traveling adventure, beginning in 2001 during my master’s thesis (Magisterarbeit), when I ventured into the field of AI with the discrete Fourier transformation (DFT) implemented in JAVA. The DFT is the foundation for groundbreaking advancements in the Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology, an AI methodology that’s enabling speech-to-text and text-to-speech interfaces. Fast forward, five years later, 2006 in my second master’s thesis I developed a framework for neural networks to prove the potential of AI for the domain of Business Analytics.
Starting to Work as a Professional
During my formative years in informatics, I was entrusted with a pivotal project for Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) in Köln (2003). My mission was to create a web browser interface within the intranet of the Systemservice Fernsehen department, offering seamless access to the enterprise database (powered by ORACLE 9 and 10). After two years of prior JAVA programming experience, I found myself navigating uncharted waters in SD methodologies and procedural models. It was a moment of intuitive commencement, fueled by extensive research into the ever-evolving field of software modelling in special. It was a period marked by tireless study, countless hours of exploration, and an unwavering commitment to deciphering the complex puzzle of software modeling and engineering for diverse companies.
Two Decades of Development
Since then, over the past two decades, I’ve worked as a software architect and engineer for global brands and local leaders (WDR, Vodafone, Mediacom, L´Oreal, Audi, LSG Sky, Dubai Sports Channel etc.). My expertise spans beside software engineering methods, as well as mathematical and statistical models applied in areas like marketing, business intelligence, and research & development.
Now, in the era of AI, I serve as a Senior AI consultant conveying insights into AI-based software engineering, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of software modeling concepts and of AI. My primary goal is to facilitate a learning journey for companies by shedding light on this complex domain.
